Mont Cameroun

The 'Chariot of the Gods' — Mongo ma Ndemi in the Bakweri language — is West and Central Africa's highest peak (4,095 m) and a still-active volcano. The 2–3 day ascent from Buea crosses rainforest, mountain grassland and lava fields.

Every February, the Race of Hope sees the best runners climb and descend the mountain in under 4.5 hours.
