About this place

A UNESCO World Heritage site, the Dja reserve is one of Africa's best-preserved rainforests. Almost encircled by the loop of the Dja river, it shelters gorillas, chimpanzees, forest elephants and over 350 bird species.

The Baka communities living on its edge share an intimate knowledge of the forest on guided treks.
