Nguon 2026 — Rites et coutumes Bamoun

Inscribed on UNESCO's intangible cultural heritage list, the Nguon is the great festival of the Bamun kingdom: the sultan renders account to his people, surrounded by customary societies, horsemen and the artisans of Foumban.

Royal processions, public criticism of the sovereign, masked dances and a great arts fair punctuate nine days of ceremonies at the foot of the palace.
